Forney Unity Parade
Register a float in the parade or just enjoy with the Forney Community!
The Annual Unity Parade will begin held on Saturday October 29th, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Jackrabbit Stadium at Warren
Middle School (811 South Bois D’Arc). The route will run down Bois D’Arc into historic downtown Forney. Once downtown,
the complete route has not been completed, please check back again soon.
The Unity Bowl Parade kicks off the week of preparation Forney High School and North Forney High School will begin
leading up to the cross-town rivalry football game, the Unity Bowl.
The Unity Bowl will be played at City Bank Stadium on November 4, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Both the Entry Forms and Guidelines MUST be filled out by and submitted by October 21

No unit will be admitted that has not been pre-registered and approved.

Entries must enter parking lot at Jackrabbit Stadium via the south entrance and will allowed in staging area no earlier
than 8:30.0
•
Entries must be parade ready when they enter the parking lot. If finish work is necessary, it will have to be done in the
Warren Middle School parking lot.
•
Adults and children riding on floats or in cars can be dropped off in the Warren Middle School parking lot. No vehicle
will be allowed in the stadium parking lot if it is not in the parade. This is for safety purposes.

All entries should be properly identified with signs or banners including their name or organization represented. No
political or election signs will be allowed in the parade. Officials currently in office may display their name and office
only.

Drivers of motorized vehicles must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license and proof of general liability
insurance prior to the parade.
•
All entries are required to maintain forward motion at all times. No maneuvers are allowed that slows the forward
movement of the parade.
•
Please refrain from using sirens and horns, except for Fire and Police vehicles.
•
Participants riding on a float or in a car must remain there the entire length of the parade.
•
Please do not throw candy or other items at the crowd. Tossing is ok. We do not want to injure our spectators.
•
Only registered, organized groups of 3 or 4 wheelers, motorcycles or go-carts will be allowed. Participants must stay
with their group the entire length of the parade.
